Pain is something we are not meant to endure alone. Seeking and creating a network is crucial. Most often, people are not prepared for the journey grief puts them on. It is overwhelming and painful. Pain is not something we readily lean into but turning towards it rather than running from it helps in the healing process. Peer-to Peer Support groups can aid in this journey.
This curriculum has been written, implemented, and evaluated by Starlight Ministries staff, facilitators, and participants for over four years. This easy-to-follow curriculum spans ages 4 to adult and is not death loss specific.
Individual curriculum is licensed for a one-time print for individual families, homeschools or small in-home group.
Community (multi-user) curriculum is for churches, schools, and businesses to purchase and is licensed for unlimited use, copy and print.

Mourning Star Grief Curriculum is available for individuals, small groups, churches, businesses, schools, home school families, community groups, etc. To provide Christ-centered grief support groups in your communities.
Mourning Star Curriculum was developed with three groups in mind.
- Child (Ages 4-5th grade) Support Group
- Teen (6th-12th grade) Support Group
- Adult Support Group
Child and Teen curriculum include developmentally appropriate games, activities, stories, crafts, and questions. They often are doing grief work without even knowing it! The adult curriculum is centered around education and discussion questions.
Starlight Ministries begins the 101 or 201 units in September. Then the 102 and 202 units are during the holiday season as these units are specific towards the holidays. The 103 and 203 units are in February and March, and 104 and 204 units in April and May.
